Anitech’s March webinar will discuss how the ISO 45001 Standards can help business’ meet their obligations.

Blurb: Business’ have faced many Occupational Health and Safety challenges over the past year, and they have a responsibility to ensure their workplace meets work health and safety legislation, and provides a safe, supportive environment for staff. Later this month, Anitech will be hosting a webinar on how implementing the ISO 45001 OH&S Standards can help business’ meet their legal requirements, improve staff morale through the development of a supportive work culture, and uphold their reputation as a safe business to conduct dealings with.

Organisations across Australia have faced innumerable challenged over the past year, which has seen many have to alter their entire operations, including the way they conduct business with their supply chain, how their staff perform their duties, how their workspace is laid out, and so on. It can be challenging for some business’ to even keep up with some of the legal and regulatory changes to workplaces, including new Occupational Health and Safety laws, rules for how many staff can work onsite at the one time, and check-in policies onsite visitors are required to perform to be allowed onsite. To give business’ a better idea of some ways they can get a hold of their OH&S responsibilities, Anitech will be hosting a webinar later this month on how an OH&S Management System can help business’ keep on top of their work health and safety responsibilities.

How business’ can get the edge by implementing the ISO 45001 OH&S Standards is the title of the webinar, and it will be hosted by industry professionals and health and safety specialists with years of experience. They will be explaining to business’ how implementing the new ISO 45001:2018 OH&S Standards will help them better understand the scope of their work health and safety responsibilities, what steps need to be taken to both ensure they are meeting their responsibilities and maintaining accurate documentation of their processes, and some effective ways to develop a supportive, safe work environment, where potential work health and safety threats are mitigated before they can lead to workplace injury.

It will be an informative session, where the hosts will clearly explain the benefits these new work health and safety standards have over the previous ones that are being phased out, and attendees will come to understand how these standards adopt a preventative approach to OH&S practices, as they work at auditing a business’ existing processes for potential risks, and then proactively minimising the impact of risks on operations.

By attending you will be able to have your questions answered

The webinar will comprise of two main parts; initially there will be a presentation by the host, and specialists, in which they will outline some of the OH&S challenges business’ are currently facing, and how the ISO 45001 Standards will help them satisfactorily address these challenges, by:

  • Helping an organisation to streamline and strengthen their daily operations. The Standards require business’ to conduct a thorough audit of their existing processes to identify potential weak points, inefficiencies, and areas of concern that, if left unaddressed, could result in a potential workplace injury. Business’ are then required to implement appropriate measures to not only mitigate the threat, but to also ensure that the chances of reoccurrence are significantly minimised.
  • Ensuring that an organisation not only meets their legal obligations, but is able to provide sufficient documentation outlining what OH&S practices they have implemented, and how these practices align with workplace legislation. By doing this, business’ are both able to easily chart their own progress regarding their work health and safety practices, and to provide proof to relevant parties outlining what the organisation is doing to ensure it maintains compliance. By taking these active steps, business’ are able to uphold the reputation of their organisation.

Following the presentation, their will be a short Q&A session, in which attendees are can have their own questions answered about anything pertaining to the standards, such as how they relate to their business-type or industry they work in, what the implementation process is like, some of the ways the standards might help them streamline their processes, and so on.

Attending this webinar will give business’ an understanding of the scope of potential OH&S risks that they may be exposed to, and what steps they should be taking to address these concerns, and publicly demonstrate that they are adequately meeting their legal obligations. The webinar will be hosted on the 3rd of March at 11am Victorian time. Please follow this link Webinar Registration – Zoom to RSVP your attendance.
